First Nations Success Strategies Committee

The First Nations Success Strategies Committee (FNSSC) is dedicated to supporting First Nations students through strategic programs focused on education, employment, and overall success.

Comprising of staff from across the university, the FNSSC ensures the effective delivery of key initiatives, including the management of Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) funding and oversight of the First Nations Workforce Strategy.

In collaboration with the Joint Consultative Committee, the FNSSC works to meet the eligibility requirements of the Commonwealth’s Indigenous Student Assistance Grants (2017), while also guiding initiatives such as the Jilbay RHD Academy and First Nations Cross-Cultural Competency training. Through these efforts, the FNSSC plays a vital role in fostering opportunities for First Nations students and supporting their educational and career aspirations.
