Library Locations and Opening Hours

Level 1

You will need your student ID card to visit the campus outside business hours. To assist Security, please leave the building 15 minutes before closing time.

The Brisbane campus, including the library will be CLOSED from Friday 18 April until Monday 21 April for the Easter Break. The campus will re-open on Tuesday 22 April. 

The Library Service Desk will be unstaffed from Tuesday 22 April to Friday 25 April.

Brisbane campus, including the library will be CLOSED on Friday 25 April for the Anzac Day public holiday and Monday 5 May for the Labour Day public holiday.

Building 3

The library service desk will be unstaffed from Monday 14 April to Thursday 17 April. Contact us via the video kiosk or by phone or email during this time.

The library will be unstaffed public holidays Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April 2025 for Easter long weekend. The library will also be unstaffed on Friday 25 April for Anzac Day public holiday. It will be accessible with an after-hours swipe card from Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April & again on Friday 25 April.

You will need an access card to enter the Bundaberg library before 8.30 am & after 5.00 pm as well for weekends and public holidays. Access cards are issued on presentation of a current CQUniversity student card at Campus Reception, building 1 between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday. If you have trouble with campus access, please phone Security on 0418 792 982.

Cyril Golding Library, Building 7

You will need a swipe card to enter the library outside our staffed hours and on public holidays. To obtain an access swipe card, please bring your current CQUniversity student card to the library desk during our staffed hours. If the library is unstaffed, access cards can be obtained from the front desk in the Leo Zussino Building (Building 3) between 8.30 am and 4.45 pm, Monday to Friday. If you have trouble with library access, please phone Security on 0418 792 982.

You will need an access swipe card to enter the library (via Room G.22 - After-hours Study Lab) outside service hours. Please ensure you leave the building before the alarms are automatically activated at 10.00 pm. You can obtain an access swipe card from Reception in Building 1 between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday, except when Reception is closed each day from 1pm to 2pm. It can take 24-48 hours before your card is activated. If you have trouble with campus access, please phone Security on 0418 792 982.

You will need a swipe card to enter the library outside staffed hours. Swipe cards are issued at Ooralea Reception between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Access may take up to 48 hours to activate. If you have trouble with campus access, please phone Security on 0418 792 982.

Current students and staff can access a computer room in B block room 1.75 after the library closes until 9pm weekdays, via an after-hours access card. To obtain an after-hours access card please see Library staff during staffed hours. It may take 24-48 hours before your card is activated. If you have trouble accessing B block room 1.75 with your card, please call Security on 0418 792 982.

You will need an after-hours access card to enter the library outside of staffed hours. Only the ground floor, which provides access to campus computers and printers, can be accessed after-hours. Levels 1 and 2, including the physical print collection, are not accessible outside staffed hours.

To obtain an after-hours access card please see Library staff during staffed hours. It may take 24-48 hours before your card is activated. Only students and staff are eligible for an after-hours access card. If you have trouble accessing the library with your card please call Security on 0418 792 982.

The library will be unstaffed for the public holidays on Friday 25 April and Monday 5 May. It will be accessible with an after-hours access card.
